Invisible Decrease: meaning and how to work it

Joining two stitches into one to narrow the fabric. The invisible version only picks up the front loops of both stitches, so it barely shows. A must for amigurumi.

How to work it

  1. Insert the hook into the front loop of the first stitch.
  2. Without yarning over, insert it into the front loop of the second stitch. You have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Yarn over and pull through the first 2 loops.
  4. Yarn over and pull through the last 2 loops.
